1. Musk's Al platform might act as 'virtual Elon', it's scary: Cuban

US investor Mark Cuban said Elon Musk's Al platform 'TruthGPT' might end up being a consumer facing Al and act as "a virtual Elon". "Pretty cool...pretty scary," Cuban tweeted. He added that as Musk owns Twitter, he can "take the entire Twitter firehose" to train any open source model and compete with the Big 3, namely Google, Meta and OpenAI.

 

2. Game streaming startup Rooter raises $16 million led by Lightbox

Delhi-based Rooter has raised $16 million in a funding round led by existing investor Lightbox. The round also saw participation from investors such as Trifecta Capital, Pivot Ventures, LEAD Sports & Health Tech Partners and ADvantage among others. Founded in 2016 by Piyush Kumar and Dipesh Agarwal, Rooter offers a mixture of live streams, short-form content and videos from gamers.

 

3. NCLT dismisses IDBI Bank's insolvency plea against Zee

NCLT has dismissed IDBI Bank's insolvency petition against Zee Entertainment, which was filed after the latter defaulted on payment of over 149 crore. Zee Entertainment had reportedly started settlement negotiations with its creditors to repay debts to clear the way for its merger with Sony Group. Zee had reportedly offered IDBI Bank to repay ₹149 crore in tranches.

 

4. Woman sues boss after mistaking 'xx' for kisses in email, fined 5 lakh in UK

An IT project manager sued her boss for sexual harassment in UK after misinterpreting his email. The woman argued 'xx' in email referred to kisses, 'yy' to sexual contact and '????' meant "when she would be ready" to engage in sexual acts. An employment tribunal in London rejected her claims, ordering her to pay £5,000 (5 lakh) to the company.

 

5. Indian woman with pacemaker dies while attempting to scale Mt Everest

A 59-year-old Indian climber, aiming to set a new world record of becoming Asia's first woman on a pacemaker to scale Mt Everest, died after falling sick at the base camp. Suzanne Leopoldina Jesus, who was admitted to a hospital, was asked to abandon the attempt after failing to maintain normal speed during the acclimatisation exercise at the base camp.
